Stars and Swirls - Freehand
I'm counting this as Quilt 2 for the year.
Stars and Swirls Back
This quilt is going to Project Linus . . . at least on the pile for Project Linus.
Wait, that's the top of Circle Saki?
I had figured out a quilting plan for my Circle Saki quilt until I bought the thread and unfolded it today. Those circles are closer together than I had remembered. So know I'm sure that I'll use the pantograph on the borders but not sure about what to do on the middle panel. Darn!
The lanterns were intended for another quilt in progress but we'll see what that top actually turns into before deciding.
Pending Project Countdown: 11
Weeks Until Deadline: 7
Stash Maybe
The trip to the quilt store I don't like (mean staff) was unsuccessful for a flannel backing for a ticker tape quilt I'm pondering. Then I came home and found 4 yards of this in my piles of flannel. Not quite the lime green I was envisioning but bright enough to stand up to the wild front.
Any votes? Oh wait, I only have one person reading this blog. This could be a close race.

Number 4 Done (After 3 Years)

First Started
But guess what? It's done. I stippled it with cheater paper on my longarm (who really needs a name) and figured out the speed and tension thing before I started my sister's quilt.
That's Number 3.
Quilt 1 - Girl Tool Quilt
The last few years I've made a resolution to finish 12 quilts a year. One a month, not so bad right? Well this is the first finished quilt for 2009. In July.
I've entered a group thing to finish all the pending projects currently in the works by the end of the year. It's actually listed at 12. So theoretically, I could finish just those and be ahead of the game.
Black is the New Pink
Look away from the water heater in the background, I've just hung a new design rack in my studio. It's a towel rack with 4 moveable rails from Ikea. I can drape fabrics together until I find the combo I like.
This grouping is called - Black is the New Pink, in honor of Wicked, the soundtrack I've been listening to while building the room and sewing.
Coming Soon
I'll post quilt pictures somewhere in the middle of all that.
