I've started the Grand Bazaar quilt for me and I'm trying out a light blue (Kona Bahama Blue) for the sashing bits. I had intended to use the pomegrante as corner stones but maybe the orange would work better.
Hopefully, I'll be able to finish the last wedding quilting today and then have a couple of more blocks ready for the guild meeting tomorrow. I'll be able to get some feedback there!

Still Thinking about the blue

Storage
This one is an underbed rolling box with some organizing bins from Ikea. I served up a prototype cover and attached it with magnets. If it works out, I may remake it in a heavier fabric and find a more permanent way to attach it.
No dogs were harassed in the making of this project.
It's simple but nice to get something off my to do list. Although now that the serger is out, I feel like I should be serging a thousand other things too. But it's back to trying to move in around here for me.
Oh and I finally finished the binding on the ticker tape, now just a few month's left on the trimming.
Planning her Escape
I also ended up piecing the lining fabric since I didn't have any chunks large enough. The neck strap has elastic in it which worked well for dressing my model.
I couldn't stop laughing long enough to get a good picture of Matilda doing a meerkat stance but still, it cracks me up.

Irem Label
This quilt finally found a home and what a lucky home. I tagged along on Amy's trip to Turkey in April and our travels were made much easier by her friend from Ankara (capital of Turkey). He provided us lots of great advice and a wonderful list of vocab including pronunciation. I was lucky enough to meet him this weekend as he's in CA on business. His daughter was born just a few months ago and there was just enough time this weekend to stitch up a little label. Her name is Irem and the meaning is Heaven's Garden. She's a darling little girl and I hope she likes this fun little quilt.
Now I'm encouraged to keep a couple of small quilts on hand all the time. They are quick and fun and eventually find just the right baby for a snuggle.

Flannel Circles
Now, I'm not saying I've started a new project right now when I've got less than a month to finish the wedding projects for my sister but with as many flannel scraps as I have, how could I not check to see if the pattern in my latest magazine would really work. And umm, yes, it does. Once I figured out the right measurements for a square inside a circle since I changed the circle size to use my cutter.
Oh hell, I have a new project.

Little Something Something
I'm working on a couple of things around here rather than getting on with unpacking the house. This one is a charm pack of Flurry, sewn and chopped into a disappearing nine patch. It appears to be turning into a lovely little project. Particularly since I noticed after this picture that I laid it out wrong and fixed that while sewing it together.
For those checking my crazy levels, wedding quilt 4 is on the frame and wedding quilt 5 has a back planned and binding cut. I'm getting tired of going in order on that design process.
I think with the help of the yahoo group for the Pfaff Grand Quilters, I've sorted out the main hiccups in the quilting however, she's got to go back in for service because once again, while I appreciate the dealer's willingness to send me the parts, I'm not able to install them.
Now back to not figuring out where to put new shelves.

Fabric, where are you?
No, really, I'm ready for the Grand Bazaar fabric to arrive at stores. Online or Local.
C'mon, I don't even drink coffee and got two mugs.
Michael Miller? Patty Young? Help a lack of patience out :)

Rockets Taking Off
I'm nervously waiting for the quilt in the washer. Hopefully the bright red stripes on the back stay on the back. I've put in two Color Catchers and we'll see how it goes in another hour or so.
It's quilted all over with a rcoketships, stars and planets pantograph which went with the design really well. I had just enough of one of the blue prints to bind the whole thing and was able to finish up the hand sewing this weekend since I didn't actually move as I had expected. Back to projects put on hold and organizing my sewing room now.
