Sometimes it's hard being a dog. Especially a dog in my house. I used a couple scraps from a holiday pack I got ages ago to make a kid's apron. It is a straight forward pattern but I first cut the blue snowmen upside down and didn't have enough to recut it, so I modified things and it pretty much worked out.
I also ended up piecing the lining fabric since I didn't have any chunks large enough. The neck strap has elastic in it which worked well for dressing my model.
I couldn't stop laughing long enough to get a good picture of Matilda doing a meerkat stance but still, it cracks me up.

Apron
I've been looking for an apron pattern and found one that looked good as part of the Sweetwater label crew. It did come with some cute iron on labels but as I used a fabric other than Sunkissed they didn't really go. So instead I used a Monaluna organic blenders fabric with some Kona cotton.
I do have a new Kona color card but I picked the coordinating colors with the good old fashioned hold the fabric up to the stash cabinets until something jumped out.
The pattern, while not very pretty, turned out fairly easy to put together. I had a few directional issues and in fact the pocket not showing are the blenders on their side, sometimes things spill though, right?
Not bad for a prototype but not sure that this is the pattern I was hoping for the bigger diabolical plan*.
The blender fabric is fantastic though -

* I prefer all my plans to be diabolical.
